Sounds like another great Braseri Beck evening - very sorry to have missed it. I've been mostly busy &/or away of late - but still driniking wine (no slacking there believe me). And I'm very sorry about not having kept up with the forum of late - and particularly these offline get togethers. Its funny - I checked the site today just with the hope that you'all might be planning something - if not before - then maybe after the holidays (and with Bras Back def in mind!!) - and I think I may have a few others interested in attending as well - one who makes his own wine (just a side thing) out in Loudon County.

In fact - this last Saturday we had a bit of an Italian get together at our house - pot luck - where I supplied all the wine - and it was great. And a fair discussion of wine forum offlines - and Bras Beck in particular ensued! So we possibly might have some more enthusiasts. They are all big Italian wine lovers BTW (as well as other things)

BTW - the wines I served Sat night (for the 6 of us) - for those interested (and perhaps I shall post elsewhere on this as well) - in order - (BTW - first 3 wines were with various Italian cheeses & appetizers) - next 2 with dinner - following 2 after diner....

Allegrini Palazzo della Torre - 2003 (already a bit past its prime - but still decent)
Araujo Sangeovese Napa Vally 2001 (absolute most singing/ertheral Sangeovese I've ever had - a very very special wine)
Banfi - Exceleus 1997 (Quite nice - fresher then expected - but seemed muted after the Araujo
Felsina Rancia Riserva Chianti Classico 2003 (impressive - Chianti perfection)
Giacosa - Barolo Falletto - 1996 (one of the most fabulous Barolos any of us has ever had...)
Gaja - Contiessa 1997 (great wine but atypical for a Barolo...and not as good as the 2 others we had)
Paolo Scavino - Barolo Carobric - 1997 (singing!)

Thanks Norm - the feeling is mutual (about getting together again soon). No accidents to speak of - but (yet another) major issue with my Audi - I love that car...but...and its possible it may be the end of the line for it - but I'm tryng to work something out....still not good ($$$) regardless...I won't be buying ANY wine for some time I think....but luckily I have several years supply pre-stored to hold me over!
