| Yes! Probably Sunday works the best as my conference starts in the afternoon on Monday, though I think I can swing a trip out to SF... what would the traffic be like going from Palo Alto out to SF on Mon/Tues? | | | |

| Should not be that difficult as you will be going against traffic. You could also catch the train from Palo Alto to SF

| Jaimetown, I can certainly come up to Palo Alto one evening. Either Sunday the 26th or Monday the 27th works for me, let me know the rest of your schedule. I'll ping David N, but mr Social is a hot commodity these days.
And sorry to disagree with tanglenet, but traffic from PA to SF in the evenings is horrid. If you check out Google's traffic feature where you adjust the day and time to see "expected" traffic, you'll see that 101 is a nightmare. 280 is not significantly better. If you can work your schedule around caltrain, that is your best bet. Also, parking in SF is reaching New York level pricing... $35 for 3 hours is not unheard of. | | | |

| I will have access to a rental car so that doesn't limit me. Caltrain sounds like a good option too! Would be great to finally meet a few of you west coast VC'ers! :) | | | |

| Sunday at 6pm should work - doesn't have to be an elaborate affair. I'm up for anything and everything - thank you tanglenet.

I use to work in San Mateo when I lived in SF. 20 minute commute home. Too many years ago! | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| TN -- I remember those days. I used to head up to SF for dinner and the symphony, clear sailing both ways. Sadly those days are gone :-( | | | |

| Jaimetown, it would be great to meet you but I'm most probably out of town the days you're here.
I'm out in Livermore, so I'm probably more tolerant of driving to offlines. I don't think it would be that bad driving to SF, depending on the location of the restaurant. It varies somewhat by the particulars of the day and the crappy economy has lowered the congestion. If you take the train, you'll probably have to catch a cab or a ride at the SF end because it's not close to many restaurants. You'll also have to be mindful of the last train time if you end up partying late.
The Palo Alto area also has lots of nice restaurants if you can get enough folks together.
