Golden, almost fluorescent yellow. Delicious, yellow and white fruit, pear, pineapple, lemon curd, with tons of dry extract, medium, well-balanced acidity, and supportive vanilla oak bringing up the slightly nutty long and tropical finish. Plenty of life left. Drink or hold for at least 5 years.

Sounds delicious. They are so good young I rarely cellar them. I only have one bottle of 2005 and a few of the 07's. Wish I would have saved some of the 02's and 03's so I could have followed their development.

It's probably best you didn't save those.  Judy told me they had some cork issues with nearly all of the 02s and some 03s, so aging was practically out of the question.  I actually purchased the '04 from JJBuckley out of Oakland, so who knows where it came from?  Probably a dump from their distributor, who they severed ties with a while back.  Put at least one of the '07s away for a few years, as they are only likely to get better.  I have one '05, but I haven't tasted it yet.  Also, there are a few '06s on the shelf at the Corralitos Wine Market near the winery.

Tyler, thanks for the info. I had not looked at the site in a bit and had just assumed they were out of Chardonnay. Looks like I'll need to tell Judy to add some to my next shipment.

Is this the One Acre vineyard from which Littorai used to make Pinot in?

Nope. Littorai's One Acre is in Anderson Valley. Windy Oaks is in the Santa Cruz Mountains. One Acre isn't the name of the WO vineyard, just the size of the estate vineyard planted to Chardonnay.

On another note, I'm told that Windy Oaks has a cool climate syrah in the works in the next couple of years.

You are correct on the Syrah.   When we were up there about 1 1/2 years ago they were clearing ground for planting it on the West side of their house.  Really looking forward to this.
