| Sorry din, I'm out this time around - it's been so hectic and it'll be hard to make it out for this, even though I love Corduroy! | | | |

| I don't know that Corduroy's private room will work with just five people. Unless Pool Boy and Goddess are going to chime in, perhaps we should try to think of someplace else. I can call Ferhat and ask if you guys want me to.

| So far it looks like only five of us (assuming that both wives attend.) I've sent an e-mail to Dave, but he has not responded.
I will contact Corduroy and see if they will set it up in the private room for that small a group, and at what price for the tasting menu and corkage (with proper attention to Richard's restrictions). Otherwise, I would like to suggest we try DC Coast and see what Branden Cox is doing there. I'll let you know when I have something. Is 7pm ok with everyone? din

| OK folks. I've made a reservation for Friday the 24th at 7pm at DC Coast. I've been in communication with Chef Brendan Cox and he will be preparing a tasting menu for us. (I made sure he is aware of T-Rep's dietary restrictions.) My friend Mike (Norm you met him and his sweety at the Lavandeau dinner) is also going to attend so we have seven people at the moment. If more chime in with a confirmed attendance, I'll contact the restaurant to increase the reservation size (assuming they can accomodate it.)
Time to list the wines you are bringing so I can pass it on to Brendan. You can send me an e-mail or reply here. I'm planning on bringing either a either a 2006 Failla Jordan or a 2005 Kistler Hyde Vineyard Chard. I might also bring something to start or end the meal. din

| Sometimes life is unfair-- WE have a standing invitation to friends from California to come and visit DC. Well, this week they used airline miles and are coming--Friday!!. OK so we say come to the wine dinner- but they are big Padres fans and got us all tickets as our invitation mentioned they should take in a game at Nats park when they are here and they planned their trip around the game- so I'm stuck- I get to go see the loser Nats- with good friends nontheless- but no wine for me Friday night-- sorry Cru-- Norm | | | |

| It's always something. I'm beginning to think you just don't want to share wine with me (just kidding). Have fun at the game, who knows, maybe the Nats will actually win, they do once in a great while. Enjoy the fireworks after the game. I'll contact the restaurant and change the reservation to 5 instead of 7 people. | | | |

| Oh well. Now another couple has dropped out too (you know who you are) so I've cancelled our reservation and sent an e-mail to Brendan Cox apologizing. (I don't think I spelled that right.) So let me put in a plug for doing something along the same line either next week, or the week of August 16th. Jake wants to participate in one (now that he is legal, not that it has stopped him before) before he goes back to school. | | | |

| OK--Sorry Din about the wine and game- the game was horrrible-- 4 errors, I never leave a game early and I left in the 8th- new manager went ballistic with the team after the game and guess what - they've been playing a little better. I'm out to California next week - but will put the Cru at the top of the list for the week of the 16th-- thanks for keeping us somewhat together-- Norm | | | |

| OK guys. One more try. We will be in Canada for a while, but will be back on the 12th or so. Jake wants to try to get the Crü together for something before he has to go back to school on the 21st. Therefore, I'd like to see if we can do something either the 14th, 15th, or during the following week. Weekends work best for me because I hate having to get up at 5:30 to go to work the morning following one of these things, but I'm game if you guys are. I'd like to suggest, but not wedded to, trying to do it at DC Coast, and letting Brandon Cox put together something for us. Theme, bring what you want to drink during the summer. Since I'm going to be out of town, I can't make the arrangements if we do it the 14th or 15th, but can talk to Brandon if we do it the following week. Of course, we could always go with our old standb | | | |
