2006 KB Koplen pinot....actually opened last night where it was "just not good" quite sour/bitter and saved half. Today, just tolerable.
2004 Kistler McCrea chardonnay....with scallops, very good but did not taste like a typical McCrea. More like Dutton (Russian River). McCrea is usually more like a Chablis.

At  New Year's Day party, they opened a vertical of Shafer Hillside Select from 97 through 01. Quite interesting. Unfortunately the 01 was slightly corked and showing no fruit. Bummer. The '97 was OK, but not excellent. Both the '98 and '99 were showing very well - and very similar. The '00 was also very good, just a shade behind the other 2.

2006 Dom Pinson Frères Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos - a new producer introduced to me by Joe Bembry. A very nice wine with good minerality and crisp flavors.
