| We celebrated our 17th Anniversay low key with good food.
Thursday night at Wood Tavern, Oakland:
N.V. Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brut - paired with pork sugo pappardelle. Good to Very Good.
Yesterday off the list at Redd, Yountville, for lunch:
2007 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir La Neblina - paired with roasted chicken. Good to Very Good.
We went up to Napa this time, not to taste wine, but to see art exhibits at the Di Rosa Art Preserve and at Mumm's (photographs).

LCC- as it was a restaurant purchase, it would have been interesting to have had the time to have it decanted. However, it opened up pretty quick during our meal. You can definitely drink it now with about 30 minutes of decanting. It will will probably improve with another couple of months as there was a little bit of heat. Very light in body with lots of black cherry notes. | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| Tanglenet - CONGRATULATIONS!
Tonight: 2004 Realm Phoenix. OMG. Had this once before, and thought "wtf?" However, right now, this is amazing. The oak is still strident, but the sweet fruits are front and center. This wine may be happy to wait another 20 years... no chance of the fruit fading.

Thank you, sir! All I can say, is that you blink, and the years go by lickedly split.. Pretty incredible. Tonight: 2006 J.K. Carriere Pinot Noir. - I can't get a feel for this wine. At first I thought it was pretty funky, now it's OK. Then I thought it was corked, now it's OK. Really throwing me for a loop here....Obviously needs some air time.

| Tanglenet - congrats!
2002 Michel Turgy Champagne Millésimé Brut Blanc de Blancs - if you bought these at~$45 you will probably be very pleased. This was a "try it" bottle and it performed well with balanced and pure fruit and chalk flavors. Not a "big boy" but should age well.

| Dropped Marilyn off at 545am at the airport for a flight to NY.
Tonight, bachelor chow:
t-bone steak, baked potatoes, string beans paired with 2004 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon Larkmead Vineyard. Very Good to Excellent. | | TN posted on Cellartracker"
