| I have been drinking coffee from illy. You can get it at illyusa.com. The company is based in Trieste Italy. I have not had their regular coffee, but I drink their medium roast esspresso every day and can say that it is excellent. I believe they now have a deal with Wegmans or Whole foods to sell their coffee there. Otherwise buy online like I do. | | | |

| I've never gotten a bad bag from Sweet Marias. I've been impressed by some of the Mexican offerings... who knew? Well, not me at the time....
I love their blends as well. Bought a 20lb bag of their Puro Scuro, but seems they just discontinued it? Hmm.. | | My Profile: http://www.vinocellar.com/MyProfile/tabid/91/asuid/2/Default.aspx VinoCellar Tweets: www.twitter.com/VinoCellar

| *** In early 2009 we retired our Puro Scuro blend - and short of giving away the recipe - the Puro Scuro was essentially a modified Mocha Java blend. Follow the comments above for the Harar/Sumatra approach to Mocha Java. Ah.. that was from their website. Ah well. I still have 15 lbs. :-) | | My Profile: http://www.vinocellar.com/MyProfile/tabid/91/asuid/2/Default.aspx VinoCellar Tweets: www.twitter.com/VinoCellar | |

I've always liked ILLY myself... but don't make espresso at home. | | My Profile: http://www.vinocellar.com/MyProfile/tabid/91/asuid/2/Default.aspx VinoCellar Tweets: www.twitter.com/VinoCellar

| I've gone cold turkey again. Amazing thing - I sleep so much better after a week off of coffee... but damn I miss the stuff. My wife is in heaven and ran out and bought a bag of her favorite beans - Dunkin Donuts. I'm going to have to sterilize the grinder and the machine if I ever get off the wagon. | | | |

| I still love Peet's Italian Roast. When I reordered they were trying to sell me on Maj Dickison's Blend for my capp. Maybe I'll try it once because I believe it is a bit cheaper but OTOH... why mess with success?

| Sweet Maria's Guatemala Oriente Dry Process: Great! Just missing the WOW level. But, perhaps I over roasted these just a bit. I think if I don't roast as dark next time, these will be even better & reach that WOW level. We shall see... | | | |

| Moro, it sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Can you post something about it. I am sure I've heard of it though... | | | |

I think if I don't roast as dark next time, these will be even better & reach that WOW level. We shall see... So, love_cab_chard....here is the deal of the day. Well, maybe not...
I ordered 2 lbs. of the Guatemala Oriente DP a while back. The cupping notes looked like exactly what my wife and I like to drink. Roasted up a batch and really didn't like it! Bummer! Fast forward about three months later when I am placing a new SM order, I am going through more cupping notes, see the Guatamala and think, "Hmm, this sounds dynamite!" Well, I went ahead and ordered two more pounds of it (In my defense the order was placed at about 2 a.m. after a few nice glasses of wine with some friends.) I didn't realize it until the pkg arrived. I started sorting through the shipment, came across it and said WTF? Needless to say I have a little less than 4 lbs of it and it is just taking up room right now! So, the deal...if you want it, you can have it! That is to say, if you cover shipping, it is yours!! Cheers, Chris

| Hmm, I really liked it. I will have to roast some more to try it again. I still have plenty, thanks. What was the roast style? I roasted it Italian/Dark. May be, you can try another roast style, a darker roast.
I have plenty of it. But, if you don't like yours @ all may be we can trade.

| Yeah...I tried two different roasts with it. My first order, I was in the French range and second order was in the city-city+ range. Both roasts, Jessica and I found a floral/citrus note that didn't appeal to either of our likings. I can't really remember off hand exactly what it was...it has been a while! I guess, just like anything else, beer, wine, whiskey, etc...I have always preached to people: "Know what you like, know what you don't like, and don't be affraid to try something new." Cheers, Chris | | | |

| Back to Cafe Zoka TangleTown. Zoka opened up a new shop in downtown Kirkland, so it's much easier to get my fix :-D | | | |
