I reside in Central Connecticut (which means I am not in a suburb of New York). I'm an attorney at a major insurance company specializing in coverage disputes that involve long-term toxic tort exposure such as environmental pollution, asbestos, lead paint and the like.
Married with one daughter. We enjoy family dinners together almost every evening, and make it a priority to sit down at night to enjoy a good meal and a good bottle of wine. It is amazing how one's quality of life improves when one devotes an hour and a half a day to cook and eat together as a family as often s possible.
My interest in fine wine began in 1990 after my first trip to Wine Country where I had the epiphany that not all wine was as bad as the stuff my parents drank every day. I also concluded that the only way to fairly judge a wine is to taste. Thank God for the internet and wine boards, as there simply isn't the access, time or money to taste everything out there. My interest in wine coincided with the explosion of the internet, and I soon discovered that sharing thoughts and ideas with like-minded drinkers was the best way to gain a broad-based wine education. So here I am. Almost from day one at VC.
Die-hard Yankees and Steelers fan. Follow the UConn Huskies, both men and women in hoops. (Hard not to if you live in Connecticut). No real NHL or NBA allegience, but in order to get under the skin of all the Celtics fans around here, I do my best to root for the Lakers, even though they play on the west coast.
Enjoy golf, skiing and travel of all sorts.
