After a rousing evening of coaching our T-ball little league game:
2002 Harris Estate Treva's Vineyard cabernet. Disappointed by cost, tannins kicking in finally gave wine some substance so I would hold or try a short decant.
2002 Worthy (red meritage). At purchase price ($25), hard to be disappointed and probably a better "drinker".
BTW, T-ball kid's parents ask me how I am so patient, etc. I reply, "nothing a couple glasses of wine can't fix".

Summer wine, do not think these are going to be long termers.
Agreed. It is also pretty easy to open more than one bottle at a time. We call them "adult joy juice". Only 7.5% alcohol.

2002 Dehlinger RRV Goldridge Vineyard Pinot noir - drinking beautifully - drink now

Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.

My sis just accepted the asst. winemaker position there. I have only had one wine from them and enjoyed it.

I had lunch on the dock up at the pond at Toulouse on Sunday, a beautiful day in Anderson Valley.

2005 Halleck Pinot Noir Three Sons - it is bothersome to me when I can drink wines of higher quality at about a third of the price from Europe.

2002 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Cote de Bouguerots - I've had other Fevres, and I was a bit surprised at how oaky this one was. I think I prefer the regular Bougros.
2003 Cuvée du Vatican Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve Sixtine - I thought this might be closed down, but it was open for business and excellent.

Wife and kids are at a toddler pizza party that means I don't need to share so I opened a:

2003 Marcassin Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard (best New World Pinot Noir in existence year in and year out imo).
