| Looks like I'm experiencing some server problems... specifically with its memory.
I'll be ordering and replacing the memory ASAP. Until then, you may notice some strange behavior of the site. This will hopefully be resolved in a day or two.
Sorry for the inconvenience. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... |

| | Yea, I wish there was something I could do about it... but I won't be able to until either very late tonight, or friday evening.... hardware troubleshooting is a b*tch, and then there is a matter of getting the parts. Sorry I can't do more. Might be time to get a spare server or something. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| | Please don't think I was complaining. You've built a great site here and I'm thankful. | |

| Talk about weird! I clicked on the Off Topic link and it showed a post for wino4ever in the What Are You Drinking Lately? thread. Clicked on it and it took me to a post by JonesWineNo1. Tres bizarre! | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| After returning from vacation yesterday, and trying to catch up, I ran into a few glitches. There was a post by TJ listed on the main forums, that was not in any thread. I had to click on the main forums to read it. Then, later in the evening, the everything about wine thread was missing. It sure was weird.
Still a lot to catch up on.

| Disappearing posts are happening again.
Under CA tasting notes, the last post is on the Paoletti merlot. When you go into the CA tasting notes forum, the Paoletti post is not there.
The only way to acess the post is to click on it while on the main forums page.

| | It's hit and miss LCC. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. When it doesn't I'll try a couple of different ways around things like using the Jump feature. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Yesterday I couldn't even get in the site. Today I haven't had a single problem. I guess it's a random thing. | | | |

| THIS PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED YET.
It'll most likely be fixed Friday evening after I get the part I need and get home to fix it.
Once I've fixed it.... I may have to restore the database from backup if it got corrupted. But I won't know the extent of the damage until after I've fixed the hardware. I'm leaving the site up only because I have backups... if I didn't, I wouldn't risk further corruption of the 65,000+ posts on the system.
When the problem is fixed... I will post it on the main page and on the header above.
Sorry for all the trouble... I wish I didn't have to actually go to work and make a living! :-) | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Rev is a god.
We'd all have to scatter about again, wandering aimlessly on the wine-o internet, like nomads without a home, until our VC was back up and running.

| | FYI -- Server will be DOWN tonight for repairs. Don't know how long I'll keep the forums offline. I'm going to run some extensive checks on the database tables looking for any corruption. | | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |
