Just noticed today new 'banner' ads. 'Wine for Art'....

The adblocker stuff on my firefox browser does not seem able to block these, dang it.

Hey, that's my fund raiser auction! You shouldn't have it blocked anyway!

(thanks for putting this up Brad!)

hahaha. Yea.. it's just a picture with a link, so the ad blockers don't know it's an ad. It's not really an 'ad' per se... just an "Industry Event" for a good cause... EW and Mrs. EW have generous hearts in organizing such an event.

Go to the Filterset.G site, read the file instructions.txt, and install the Filterset.G filter set into Adblock. Ads will be gone forever...

Some of these ads, especially the animated moving ones, really cause problems with my computer. The page won't load properly and when I log in, it stalls out. I have to open a new window to try again to access the site. Usually on the 2nd try I can get in.

If you use Firefox, you can selectively block Flash content with the Flashblock extension. If you have Adblock installed, adding *.swf to your filter set will block ALL Flash content. That's what I do...

There have actually been a couple of ads that I have clicked on recently.

Can you fix it so that the ad automatically appears in a separate window leaving the vinocellar page in place?

Unfortunately, I can't. The ads are controlled by Google code.
