| I just noticed that tonight there are google public service ads on the site....
What's up with that? | | |

| Its interesting the CWG posted on Forum Ideas and Suggestions, while others posted in "Problems with Vinocellar Board"!!
If this helps defray costs, why not? Doesn't bother me.

| D'oh, I just posted about this in Random thoughts. D'oh!
I have no problem with this either, the things usually are below my field of vision and are not really bugging me at all. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| I noticed that there is a new more prominent space for google ads now at the top of every page, pushing down the amount of forums space that appears on my screen. Just a bunch of extra scolling that is annoying, but I guess I should not complain, this site is free after all. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| As posted on another thread -
The Google ad at the top of the page this morning is incredibly distracting and takes up too much browser space. Bleh.

| Sure. It could prevent the need for more donations to keep this place running. Fine with me. | | | |

Fine with me.
Me too, except this morning I've already signed up for three promotional emails, set up an appointment with a plastic surgeon in New Jersey, and bought a giant, scrolling LED display sign for the vineyard.
If we hit the "back" button after visiting an ad, does Brad owe them money?

| I've gotta say that the placement of the ads is really intrusive and annoying. It isn't encouraging me to visit Vinocellar often. | | | |

Just use Firefox with the Adblocker extension like mbansek suggested. It works like a charm! | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

Oh, that is very very funny!
er...uh....my appointment in New Jersey is the 16th of March. Randy, I'll be the one in very large sunglasses and veiled hat.

Hey, I think I saw you the last time I had some work done.
Seriously, Brad. I don't care about the ads, but I do have one minor pet-peeve: The Vinocellar masthead, then the ad, then the rest of the page is visually annoying. Sort of a wide, narrow, wide thing. Is it possible to start with the narrow ad, then have the masthead and webpage? Ah, never mind. Maybe I should go take my meds. | | Randy Sloan Match Vineyards

| I'm with babnik here. Visually the google ads totally break things up on the top of the page. The color is significantly different and stands out and is an eyesore. If this were a site which was put out by a company I ran (as opposed to the labor of love it is now) I'd fire the person who was responsible for this. At least center the add so that it isn't right next to the top menu bar and further away for the lower menubar. | | | |

| No big deal.
Although I guess it does take me an extra .00000000002583 minutes to get passed it.
