| How did it work for the single bottles? At an event this big, there is no way everyone got to taste every wine. Was it better that way, or would it have been better to have slightly fewer wines but greater quantity of those wines? | | | |

| | Randy - it is probably better to have additional bottles of some of the wines because it is impossible to taste everything. HighDesertWine and company served as the "wine patrol" and were trying to ensure that the wines made it to each table. The key word is "trying". They did the best job they could with chaos about to erupt at any moment. | | | |

| Yes, ideally I would prefer to have 2 bottles of like wine or a magnum format when such a large group is in attendance. However, at times someone may only have 2 or 3 bottles of a special wine or perhaps only 1 bottle of an aged wine, in these instances it is understandable to bring what is available and hopefully, only those truly interested in the specific characteristics of the limited quantity wine or have a particular intrest in the nuance etc of ageing will partake. It is not always optimum and yes, chaos does at times supercede order but luckily I have found that in the excitement and fun when friends gather, wine becomes secondary. | | | |

| | chaos can be fun sometimes. last year at the afterparty to the 1st anniversary dinner i was pouring wine up at the counter. i opened a bottle of 01 shirvington cab. this was just when the shirvingtons received their high ratingd from parker. as soon i said the wors shirvington i had about 20 glasses in front of me faster than i finished the sentence. all i could here was "did someone say shirvington?" then the next thing you know and my bottle was empty. iirc samething happened to my 98 HSS i brought as well. | | | |

I was across the room and heard someone say "Shirvington". It was a small room and by the time I walked over there it was gone. Mr. Winetex was standing there with the group and all had big grins. | | | |

| Heck people, all I have to here is the word "Wine" from across a crowded room and I'm all over it. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Come to think of it that afterparty kind of reminded me of ducks running to the feeding tube. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |
