And Ray & Mrs. Capitolkat: I made all fresh tortillas after the "incident", just in case you didn't know.

Incident? I have no idea what you are talking about... All I know is I didn't do anything and Mrs. Capitolcat assured me she didn't see anything...

Besides, I was under the impression jaimetown was gonna catch anything headed for the floor.

Lastly, it was fun acting as a beverage director/server/Whiner's unofficial legal counsel and shuttle bus driver.

Whiner, pay him well -- You can use the representation and you don't want him to leave you a become a "big firm lawyer" (or sue for spiegelau damages)

140 plates? Who did the dishes?

Rothko, as Swill will note, gotta keep the dishwasher running all evening. Only about 30 plates were left in the morning. Swill apparently pulled a lot of KP in the Marines....

Really could go for some of those smoked duck tamale timbale instead of this sorry tuna sandwich for lunch.

But you are just begging for breakage doing dishes while drinking all that wine!

BAH! I'm batting .333 for leaving offical OLs without embaressing myself. (I was oddly sober after Butterfield 9.) Hopefully it will be up to .500 after Friday

Strange enough, when I got home at 1:30 I was pretty much over it

anyway, thanks again! (And do I owe someone money for a Spiegelau?)

Gentleman, Scholars, Ladies, and our future "Big Firm Lawyer",
What can I say? It was a STONE GROOVE! The BOMB! An epic event that may never be matched again. It was so good, I made a point to remain sober enough to remember everything. Almost everything. Ok, at least I wasn't the drunkest (ref BFL comment)...
Seriously, I can't think of a better way to have spent a TERRIFIC evening with great people eating great food and drinking even GREATER wine. Thanks Corkage, my hat is off to you for the best event yet. Oh yeah, I couldn't leave without the QOTN (Quote of the Night): It goes to the VERY lovely Ms. Capital Cat:

"If I weren't a Newbie, I'd lick the plate."

You know what, I couldn't have summed it up better!
Thanks again Corkage,
SWILL

Well, I knew what Mrs. T-Rep's reaction would be to the pics of Saturday night and unfortunately she started to drool on my shoulder as she looked at them. So my guess is that if I'm traveling on business and the Corkage's are having a dinner, then she'll be there to represent us...

To quote her..."it looked awesome...unfreakinbelievable!"

Well done Corkage!

ahhh I have been instructed to provide our host with public kudos for the event in question so.....

Kudos

I hope this suffices.

P.S. big firm lawyer's rule......go for it!

I have been further admonished that the above public groveling was insufficient and that I should endeavor to try again....

Thank you Mr. Corkage. My wife and I had a most unforgettable evening at your restaurant. This is an anniversary we won't soon forget. God bless you until we meet again.

P.S. go for it future big firm lawyer.
