Went to LA after the great evening, so this is the first time that I got to get on VinoCellar.

DavidN, your generosity knows no bounds. Thanks again.

That was an incredible amount of wine that we had before dinner. I think a lot of us were "feeling it" based on some of the discussion there. The juicy stuff will never leave the room.

Davidn-
The Calliope Rare Muscat was my WOTY last year. I may be biased into liking sweet wines, but the age of this wine added complexity to the sweetness that was surreal. Parker gives sweet wines high ratings, but this is well deserved.

One of these days, I hope to share another with you.

davidn:

Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. I will pop in on some of the other threads as time and sleep deprivation allow.

It has been fun trying to catch up from being off VC for a few days. I came home on Sunday to over 1200 posts to read, and cannot manage to catch up.

Of course, it did not help having to catch up on work. And receiving a supoena to appear in bankruptcy court next week for a client. And my favorite call of the afternoon from a clinet: "Um, I just got a call from the IRS, and they said my Controller has not paid any payroll taxes in two years. What do I do?" "sigh"

Man that sucks. I remember working in a bank where we had this guy who routinely messed with his payroll taxes and other taxes. We made so much money off of his account also due to overdrafts and garnishments. I think once month we made about $3K in fee income alone for non-typical stuff.
