| I am looking to either start or join a wine (tasting) club here on Long Island. If anyone knows of any or is interested in starting one please let me know
Peace,

| Slider,
I think if you stick around here, you will have more opportunity than you can imagine to drink great wine with great people.
You can organize your tastings here as well in the events section. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.

| | Welcome, slider. It's nice to see you here. Keep your eyes on the events section for upcoming dinners. On occasion, ttepper and I have gotten together for a couple of invitation-only tastings at a store. It's possible we might be able to bring you with us, but I can't promise. Once Spring arrives, my schedule will open up a little and I hope to have more time for tastings and dinners. | | | |

| Welcome slider.
If you're willing to travel, too, but not far, the NJ Vinocellar Crü gets together fairly often too. Plus, if you make it down to DC for anything, we've got the DC Crü just waiting for another excuse to drink some great wine.
Welcome, dude. | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| First, I appreciate the invite down to the DC area. I love DC and if I am ever in the area I'll let you know. On this web site, I think I am definitely going to enjoy hanging out in here. I LOVE wine, always have since I was about 8 yrs old (I'm 42). I actually toyed with the idea of opening a wine bar out here but I could not find the right location. Living on Long Island I visit wine country 6-10 times per year and always pick up 2-3-4-5 bottles per visit. Tis season we are planning on doing the Finger Lakes and Hudson Valley area several times as well.
As I had orginally posted, if you know of any local wine groups please let me know.

| | Keep an eye on the Vino Cellar Wine Events section. We (meaning folks from NJ & NY) get together often (sometimes in NJ & sometimes in NYC). I do not know of any specific wine groups per say. I do not consider “us" a wine group, just a bunch of local guys that love wine, love to dine out in nice places & love to get together to have some fun. But, we do get together often. | | | |
