Please Board_O, don't "defer".

I guess it is just the old axiom: A tasting note is never WRONG (or something like that). I respect your judgement as much as my own. It's just so different from me.

I hearby invite you personally to my 79th birthday in 2021 at which time we will drink a 100-point 1921 Chateau d'Yquem.

OK. I'm bringing a 2018 Lafite.

My Farmer's Almanac says 2018 will be a cold summer .

And my futurist says that during the French-Italien war of 2012 the Italian claim the south coast of France as their own. The winery will then be called La Torretta. I don't know whether it will earn the Italien DCG recognition or not.

Lilac, Why would you want a Marquis Phillips wine of any sort? You should know that people either love 'em or hate 'em. Personally I think they taste like Kool Aid with out enough water mixed in.

Everything I've read about MP Shiraz says it's a wine I would like. And your descriptor is one I would use to describe Sauterne. So there!

One of these days I'm going to get my sticky little fingers on a bottle of Marquis Philips Shiraz.

Just don't make it an '03, or you'll never want another!

What Gary said. I bought two bottles and dumped them both.

"Don't buy '03" [sound of pencil scratching this down]

Noted. Thanks for the tip.

Ah yes. I agree. All Sauternes taste like kool-ade except one. The only one made from truely rotten individual grapes.
