Booked! Thanks Chris for all the hard work.

I think Winetex and Kpak got the fireplace rooms!

David (NCVL), you are now on the active list since Scott's wife couldn't make it.  I'll make it work out somehow.  Please advise your hotel/bus needs, and if you and Alice can make it to the Friday night dinner.

Chris

WOOHOO!! Can't make the Friday night dinner but we do need a room and we're a yes on the bus.

Edit: room is booked

I've just been informed by the Ms. that she will NOT be attending the Kosta Browne barrel tasting on Sunday morning. So this will minus 1 to the Sunday list.

When it comes to women and wine, I don't understand women

By the way, if any out of towners needs a lift to the Oakland Airport on Sunday afternoon, let me know. We can fit two comfortably and three uncomfortably.

The bus is booked and will be picking people up at 2:15 at the Vintners Inn.  I have it scheduled to depart Freeman at 9:15, with a drop-off at the Vintners Inn at 9:45 (where I'm sure for some the party will continue).  The cost per head is just under $31....unless we have some last minute cancellations.  I'll have the meal price for both meals figured out the week prior to the actual date, so you can give me a check at the event.  Please no cash!!!

For those arriving on Saturday, I have asked the Vintners Inn to please allow you to check in by 2:00 so you don't have to deal with it after we return from dinner.  They will do their best to accommodate that.

More details to follow.

Chris

No requests for me, but as soon as I invited Andrew his first comment was something along the lines of "last year was so cool...cigars and everything!".

LOL ....... oh good, I'm sure I can find something very special for those two guys.

I've also got a bottle of 1996 Salon that is just dying to be opened, are we doing a Champagne tasting as well Winetex?

Sounds like a plan! Are you guys staying at the hotel? maybe champagne happy hour Friday night? If we plan on this we can acquire some bubbly-friendly foods and bring some lovely champagne to taste. Haven't tried the 96 Bollinger RD yet

Would you believe me if I said I have never smoked a Cigar? Not to say I wouldn't be interested in trying one...

Yup, but we're only at the hotel on Saturday night ..... hmmm ..... any other ideas? I've gotten so used to doing our Champagne tastings when we're all together.

Paul, I always bring a few "extra" cigars as well. I'll make sure to pack some newbie friendly smokes.

Hmm, we can do it at the caves before the dinner but it will require a couple of coolers, some ice and glasses.  I'm sure no one would object.Â

I've put the wines for each course with the menu on page 1 of this thread. Thanks to Freeman, August West and Kosta Browne for providing the wines during the meal!

I don't want this to be a working meal for the winemakers....so I will ask for a couple of volunteers to assist with pouring for each course. Thanks!

Chris - We will be glad to help out.  In case I get a little tipsy (don't wanna spill the wine on the peeps) maybe we should pour one of the first two courses.  In fact, just put us down for pouring the August West flight. Â

More than happy to help do whatever you need, as long as I don't have to wear a wig (matching or not). This is assuming, however, that I'm still able to walk at dinner :-D

I'll help pour. Of course we can figure that all out later.
