| Hey all,
Got my flight situation straightened out. Is anyone in the Sacto area up for an offline sometime between Mar. 11 and 15th? My flight gets in Sunday morning (SFO), and it'll take me some time to drive to Sacramento.
Anyone up for a weeknight offline?
I haven't booked my hotel yet, and was looking for a little advice. The office I'll be visiting is between Arco Arena and Discovery Park. Guess that's the west side of Sacramento. Is there anything out there (restaurants, wine shops, etc), or it is suburbia?
Also, with respect to offlining, driving there probably isn't the best idea in the world. Just wondering if there's a decent place closer to restaurants that we would be offlining at so I could take a cab or the subway or something along those lines.
Let me know if anyone is available and what date(s) so we can set something up. Lots of time to organize something relatively low-key.

| Best places to stay for you would be the following:
Residence Inn by Marriott 2410 W El Camino Ave Sacramento, CA 95833
Hilton Garden Inn 2540 Venture Oaks Way Sacramento, CA 95833
Homestead Suites 2810-2830 Gateway Oaks Dr Sacramento, CA 95833
All of these places are located directly between Arco Arena and Discovery Park with easy access onto I-5 and I-80 (these hotels are literally at the interchange between the two freeways).
Since Enotria is closed on Monday, I would say Tuesday or Wednesday would be the best choice...and we are free both nights. I will be more than happy to act as planner and make the arrangements once people pick a date.

| Thanks Brent! I'd appreciate you taking the lead and organizing.
I knew about the Residence Inn and Homestead Suites, but not about the Hilton. I'll look into all of them and book accordingly.
It appears that Enotria isn't all that far from any of these, so a cab shouldn't be a problem. Good news, as I have no interest in driving to or from an offline (moreso the from part).
Tuesday or Wednesday is perfectly fine with me.

| for me that Tuesday or Thursday would work. Wednesday is way out of the picture as we are booked. Another rather nice unknown hotel is the Raddison.1/2 mile from Enotria and 2 minutes from downtown | | | "Everyday is worthy of a glass of sparkling wine" - Andrea Immer MS | |

| Tuesday at 6:30pm sounds good to me. I've finally got all my hotel arrangements straightened away as well. Brent, I'll send you a PM with all that info, my cell #, etc, so we can keep in touch. Now ... what to bring? Something Italian, of course! | | | |

| In case you are not aware of it, when you are in route to Sacramento on Hwy 80, you could take a 30 to 45 minute detour (each direction) and visit Napa / St Helena on Sunday.
Or, if you were willing to take an hour detour (each direction), the 29th Annual Sonoma County Barrel Tasting event is scheduled for March 9th-11th, with over 100 participating wineries throughout Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.

| jay, in that area you are right on top of downtown and old town sac...
one of the beauties of sac is it's relatively small size...you can be in downtown in 5 mins from arco and the discovery park area is right on the american river...down the garden hwy from enotria grill and wine bar.
if you are going to be here between the 11th and the 15th, then i'm sure we can arrange something or more than one something...
let us know what you'd like to do and when... | | | Owner/Winemaker m2 Wines

| Thanks for the info, everyone. Not sure if I'll be able to detour to Napa, however, as I'm planning on visiting a friend in Oakland first.
Looking forward to the offline, though! I'm digging through inventory to try and figure out what I'm going to bring.
BTW, winebrat, I'll probably want to check out the wine shop as well, if that's alright. Can be a different day, of course!
