I've got a free night to burn in Austin on 6/28. Anyone out there want to do it up at Castle Hill?

GREAT! I'm looking forward to meeting Winetex. What time and how many in your party? As for a theme, I'll stick to my usual - big a*s reds from CA. Rob, can you email Stefan?

Early is better for us with the babysitter - maybe 7 pm? It would be me and Mr. Winetex.

Actually we'll all see Steffen this Sat at the Hansel dinner so we'll run it by him. I'll mebbe see if Brad and Doni are avail.as well but don't know their schedule. That would put us at 9? Maybe we could get a more private table upstairs? They did that for me on my birthday a while back.

So far so good - it'll be good to see ya again.

I kinda figured big ass reds would be somewhat prevalent.

And bring pix of the "little" Chicago (soon to be) wine geeks!

Ok, Wednesday 6/28 7:00pm Castle Hill, bring something fun. I've got the CA red covered!

We are looking forward to it - we'll bring a couple of wines to choose from. The only issue with Castle Hill is the sheer spiciness of some of the foods which tends to bludgeon the more restrained wines.

You guys know that my wine locker is within walking distance to Castle Hill. I can do a fly-by before the dinner and grab some tasty vino.
