Anyone up for a SuperBowl party at my house? Was thinking of doing a big event... really great food, and BYOW of course.. was going to try and do something fun though.. match some flights with different courses, etc.etc....

And have everyone watch the game on the HD bigscreen of course.

Just gathering interest at this point...

It's 2/5/06

Please put me down as, may be. I don’t much care for Superbowl, but I care much for good company, great food, & fine wine. Thank You!

P.S.: if wives are welcome, then 2 people as may be.

You could get to Bayonne fairly easy from Brooklyn. You should definitely come, T. Be good to see you again.

Yea, Bayonne is attached to Staten Island on one end... and Jersey City on the other which is right outside the Holland tunnel... accessible by Train.... PATH to Exchange Place stop... then take the Light Rail to Bayonne... I'd drive from Brooklyn though.

Would love to have you Tbird.

Anyhow, looks like enough interest, so I'm making this date official.

Cool. What can we bring/arrange?

We're getting a babysitter and I'm going to try to take the next day off. Can you say - binge drinking?

hahaha. Sounds good to me!!! (the binging part)

I'm thinking..... but am open to suggestions......

Is to have a few courses, but buffet style so people can just grab what they want, when they want, and enjoy the game at the same time.

Start with a small course that goes with Champagne (before the game)
Then a small course that goes with white (before the game)
Then a large and varied course that goes with lots of different reds (during game)
Then a small dessert course if there is interest

The only requirement for coming is to bring wine. I'll come up with a menu, and if I was able to get a couple people for each small course and a few more people to bring reds for the large main course, that'd be perfect.

Significant others completely welcomed of course. My house isn't really child proof, but I could put movies on in the other room.

That was a great night at Triomphe. Unfortunately, I may be in France during the Super Bowl. Not definite yet, but put me in the maybe camp.

I wonder how long of a drive it is from Louisville to Bayonne, NJ? This offline sounds like a lot of fun.

I don't know, but $402 and a couple of free days will get you a non-stop flight into Newark!
