| I thought I would start a dinner thread for the NAPASTRAVAGANZA. We'll be having dinner together as a group the final night. That leaves Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights open. I'll start things off. Mrs WIML would like to try Bistro Jeanty this time around. Would anybody like to join us for dinner? Any of the open nights work for us at this point. Post here and I'll make reservations. We're open for the remainder of the evenings. So far we're tossing around Brix, Roux & Martini House. Would love to hear other recommendations. I'd love to have dinner with as many different people as possible while in Napa. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. |

| I have Sunday night open (won't be in the Valley before Saturday). Will be on Sonoma Coast for a few nights after that if someone is in the Russian River/Healdsburg area). | | | |

| Sunday morning I head up to the Mendocino area. Don't think we'll be able to connect except at the dinner Saturday night. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| We would love to go to Bistro Jeanty. I think Wednesday would be great because it is the most casual of the better restaurants and since we will all be arriving that day we can be more comfortable.
Another restaurant that I would really like to go to is Roux. I have not been there yet and I have had nothing but 5-star reports.
Brent, What time should we expect to be back at the hotel in the afternoons?
Another good place especially for a big offline would be Bistro Don Giavoni.
Somebody should get a hold of PYANG. He is coming, isn't he? He is certainly the expert in setting up dinners.

| david, pyang has already homed in on this thread over on the WS forums. He's up for Bistro Jeanty. You might check that thread out. He's also recommending some casual places such as All Seasons Bistro up in Calistoga (excellent prices on the wine list with good food) and ZuZu's for a laid back tapa menu. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| we are available for the Thursday and Friday dinners. Sounds like there are enough people to set up dinners at 5 or 6 different restaurants. Perhaps some of us with local knowledge should volunteer to host at a particular restaurant on a given night. I'm not sure what you do about the over subscription problem, though.

| WIML - we are up for Bistro Jeanty if you can make reservs. There are some other folks that want to meet on Friday so Wed (after the reception, not sure of the time) or Thurs would be good. | | | |

You like Roux, I know. I am rw&a to go there. I'd love to set something up for one of the nights. Which night would be best?

| After reading the posts over on WS I would say it would be a good idea for Wednesday night to go to ZuZu. They serve Tapas and I really didn't know we were having that big a reception earlier that night at the Marriot. | | | |

| ZuZu Wed, Bistro Jeanty Thu and Roux Friday sounds good to me. I might be persuaded to try All Seasons Bistro one of those nights based on pyang's recommendation. Waiting to see how participation shapes up. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| Brent,
Is everyone on their own? Is it a free for all?

| I would definitely be interested in a Friday night gig. Wednesday for a late nite snack or tappas also sounds good.
Thursday is F.L. night. Whoo Hoo!

| I would highly recommend Roux. Food is excellent and Bressler is a very valued customer there. Should be great fun. Wish I could be there.

| The way I pictured the evenings (Thursday and Friday) was a free for all. No specific plans. Go eat wherever and with whomever you wish. We should be back at the hotel between 5:00pm and 6:00pm each night after tasting. Hope this helps. | | | |
