| Ant, do we really want to bring our best bottles? I'm sure we are going to have some awesome wines with dinner...many of them...By the time we get to the hotel I dont think our (at least my) palate is going to be able to determine great stuff from very good stuff...I'm certainly not going to bring a BV Costal, but I would think bringing a 97 Harlan would go to waste...Just my opinion... | | | |

| maybe i should rephrase what i meant. i should of said one of your better bottles. i don't mean to say that some of you would bring plonk i just want it to be a fun time for everyone. i don't want to nail people down on what to bring as far as varietals. just bring what you want to share. | | | |

| the thing is i don't want anyone to stress out about cabs, cab blends, bdx, shiraz, merlot, pinots or anything else. just a bottle that really rocks | | | |

| I think the only thing I would be up for after dinner, provided I am still upright, would be some port or some cocktails.

| We need a hotel in the area. I'm in for the afterparty, but my wife will sleeping in the hotel while I'm there. I think the afterparty can use some dessert wines. | | | |

| Man, I don't think I'll make it. Mrs. TJ turns will turn into a magic pumpkin a la Cinderella at some point and that'll be it for me, methinks. We'll see. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| We're in. Of course if Mr. Winetex doesn't do a pumpkin act. It's a tough call when the spouses are involved. | | | |

| I am a big, fat "MAYBE" for two. When I posed the question to the boss she said "JEEZ, HOW MUCH WINE CAN THE BODY ABSORB?". I'm sure somebody will figure that out by the end of the evening. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| How much wine can the body absorb and still be able to play in the VC Golf Tourny the next day?

| I guess I'd have to say that I am a qualified "Yes". It just depends on what the definition of "after" is. If we are talking about 10:30-12:30, then yes. If we are talking about 12:00-2:00, I'd probably have to say no. Can't hold on to a babysitter that long. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

i was wondering what kind of hotel plans you had. it would be great if the bulk of us could stay in one place. that way we could even save on cab rides to dinner and back. this obviously would make getting together afterwards easier also. i have spent some time investigating the upper east side and it is starting to look like a no go. so i am going to reconstitute my seach to the east side of midtown. if anyone has any ideas that could work for the bulk of us let me know. i will be looking for a suite for myself so that we have a specific area to ourselves. | | | |
