I think it's time for a East Bay Area Offline. Doesn't have to be fancy. Maybe steak with cabernet. Last time Randy Sloan had to serve his wine with Vietnamese food! Tough pairing.

I was thinking of maybe at Left Bank, in Pleasant Hill or maybe Izzy's in San Ramon. Both have reasonable prices on their meats and they have the room.
