You are invited to attend the first ever
Kosta Browne Vertical Tasting
Date: TBD
My place.
This is a private party.  Please RSVP below.

I'm 99% sure we can put together a complete vertical of KB Pinots.  Now that's exciting!

I have absolutely no idea how many of you can come to this event.  With small portions  we can get 14 pours out of each bottle (and I do want to keep the pours small because we're talking quite a few wines here).  I am assuming that we should be able to dig up two bottles of each wine so I will put the limit at 28 people.  If I can put together a third vertical I can take it to 42 people but I won't worry about that until we reach the 28 number.

It will be a sit-down tasting with several tables.  I will assign seating.  I will set up a buffet table with plates and plastic-ware.  Everyone should bring some Pinot-friendly "finger foods" for the buffet to share with everyone.

Everyone PLEASE bring your own glasses.  I think we'll probably do flights of five wines so you will need to bring five stems per person.

The biggest potential problem will be parking so please arrange car pools from downtown Los Gatos.  There is plenty of free parking there and it should be easy to arrange to meet other guests there for a car pool.

The "List"*

Dan Kosta **
Michael Browne **
David N *
Chris R8der
Updated list below...

*As the host I reserve the right to limit the number of guests that any one might bring.
I also reserve the right to refuse attendance to anyone I deem (yes, I am a hardass!).
I also reserve the right to hold spaces for special guests.  If these spaces are not filled I will open them up to the waiting list.
I also hold the right to be able to "jump" people who I may deem.
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

**Important:  (Fine print)  Recents events dictate that I make it clear to all that both Mr. Kosta and Mr. Browne are attending this party as invited guests only.  They are not representing Kosta Browne or any other winery and they are not furnishing any wine or pouring any wine at all.  I say this to CYA and besides it's the truth!  As Joe Friday would say: Dumb de dumb dumb.

So there!

This is going to be a blast!

I would like to attend solo. It's Spring Break so I don't think we can swing this one together. Thanks.

Golly G!  They're comin' over from eBob.   .

I didn't think that anybody over there would drink anything from California.

I love it!

Hey - I even brought a 2005 Aubert Chard double-blind to a French wine dinner with friends on Tuesday and everyone loved it!Â

That and the 1976 Mazoyeres-Chambertin - but that's another story.Â

Cheers, Mark

Wow, I usually get comments like "oak juice" "not my style" and the like.

David,

Please scratch me from the list, as I'll be in London on the 14th. I'd suggest that I auction my seat, and we'll split the proceeds, but that's kind of like flipping KB ...

I do have all KB bottlings from the '02 vintage to the present, and would be glad to fill any holes that I can. I'll bring the wine out in Feb, so let me know what you need.
