Tra Vigne Restaurant  (in the Cantinetta)
St. Helena

Note:  I have posted this on eBob also.  I will update both sites as appropriate (time available) but it wouldn't hurt to check it out over there too.

Kim and I will be there!

As for wines, I've mostly got Pinot. How about two bottles of 04 August West Graham's and an 04 Loring Garys'?

I'm stll game. If you guys don't mind - I'd like to bring some Etude.

If I do bring some Etude, do you guys want to try Chard, one of our small lot Pinots, or one of our Appellation Cabs?

David, just a thought....I happen to have two bottles of the unreleased 06 August West Rosella's.  Would that be preferable over the 2004?

It looks like I need to bring three bottles for Kim and I.....so if you wanted I could bring the two 06's and one of the 04's, which I'm sure you (or some of the others on the attendance list) could match?

Chris - there's going to be more than enough wine at the dinner. I would say that it's not necessary for you to bring 3 bottles of wine. 2, if you are up to matching, would be more than enough. As Pops has it laid out currently, there's going to be at least 26 bottles of wine for 20 people. There will definitely be leftovers.

PS: I was at the Raider game today and saw JaMarcus Russel in person... he's bigger than Daunte! Hell, he's bigger than the linebackers!

You should have told me you'd be there....we were in the parking lot drinking August West before the game.....and I had one extra stem that went unused!

We done bin hijakd by football!

Chris,  Whatever you think.  The '06 would be fun.  I plan on serving it blind and it will be "up against" two Burgs.

I think just bring two bottles.  I'd like to have another Pinot from another winery to go with yours and the two Burgs.

First off, sorry for the hijack David.

We were in Lot A......we are ALWAYS in Lot A.....at least we have been for the last 13 years.

Ok, I'll either bring the 04 AW or the 06 AW...let me know which one you prefer David!

The BdM is looking, er, rather sparse, so I will bring two bottles of:

1971 Barbi Colombini Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

This totally gets my vote as well, would have (past tense!) saved me from flying the BdMs in directly from Italy for this  (they're still coming, both from Italy and to the dinner).

Anybody up there have any connections with the Harvest Inn or some other appropriate hotel within walking/stumbling distance of Tra Vigne?

I'll pay the $249 for the Harvest Inn if I have to, but I thought maybe one of you locals would know somebody that could give us a deal.  Thanks!

I need to have confirmations by this Sunday 11/11. I will start putting people who are on the waiting list Monday if I don't have your confirmation.

Would there be any objections to some 2001 Vineyard 29 AIDA under the Cab selection?
