I was at Lewelling yesterday and was talking to Dave about the possibility of hosting a Lewelling dinner.
It would be great to get together with him and Doug and taste through a vertical.
Dave said he'd be interested, but the best time for him wouldn't be until next December or January.
The idea would be to have a fixed price dinner, something like $100 a head including tax and corkage.
Hopefully we could put together a good vertical between us and ask Dave and Doug to fill in any gaps.

At this stage I'm just trying to gauge the level of interest.
Also if you have any older vintages that you can contribute, please let me know.

Keep me posted. It depends on date, where and how many.

Dave count Stacey and I as very interested. Obviously the Date matters, but with enough notice we should be able to make it.

Dave

I would be very interested, and have a pretty complete vertical. I know Dave and Doug pretty well - they are as genuine as they come.

I was trying to get a quote from Parcel 104 but my contact there has left and their replacement hasn't got back to me.
What with work, fatherhood, the smackdown etc. this has been lower down the pile.

I'll ping them and see what they say.

Spoke to Dave Wight the other day - he's looking forward to this. I still need to nail down a date and venue.

I haven't done a damn thing about this, sorry. What with Jamie and ridiculous work deadlines I've been working evenings and weekends.
I haven't even done any Christmas shopping or started writing cards.

How does the last weekend in January sound? By my calculation that would be Saturday 26th.

Duh!  Neither have I.   I mean...  it's not Decamber 24th yet.  Why do it any sooner?

I always do my Christmas shopping on 12/24.  I shop at Queen's Chest and get my car washed at the same time.
