| Our favorite left coaster Lafon Rochet will be visiting DC again on August 8-9 and would like to get together for some Pinot, food and frolic. Let me know of your availablility and any ideas for venue. Is this the time to exercise our new dining theory proposed by Corkage? I need to know sooner rather than later as I have a conference in Ft. Worth at the end of July and first part of August but will be back for the wine and food with Lafon. Thanks-- Norm | | |

| Too bad, Lafon, we will be missing each other by 1 week!
Have fun in DC with the cru.

| | OK--I'll make some suggestions- le Paradou- I can probably get them to do a three course tasting menu or Caucus room is nice for summer dining -both have easy metro access and for a smaller group would be fine. Wednesday the 9th is better for me but either day 8th or 9th works. I'm up for other suggestions and could probably get my club- The City Club -to do a dinner for us in a private room. Our chef was just on Iron Chef with Walter Scheib the former White House Chef and won the competition. They were on the Food channel last night and he likes these kind of things. Let me know-- | | | |
