I just found out my wife and I will be Austin this Saturday, March 25th, for the night. Based on advice I'd been given here, I thought we'd try Castle Hill Cafe for dinner, as they allow BYOB. Anyone want to join us for an impromptu offline ? We'd also be open to other suggestions - we're mainly interested in drinking some good wines at other than normal restaurant prices ! Scott

Argh! I have a race that day in Warda which will unfortunately adversely affect my wine consumption. Or maybe it's all the post-race beers we have?!? Anyhoo Castle Hill is always a solid choice if you're downtown. Personally I don't byob much there or at Mirabelle (more north) as the wine list is so admirably priced. But your bottle will be welcomed. There are other choices like 34th St. cafe but if you haven't done Castle Hill that is a great start. We'd normally be all over this but wine just never sits well with me after a long race. Prolly be greasy tex-mex and margarita floaters for me!

Hi Scott - we might be able to join you for a while (maybe appetizers). My parents are visiting this weekend also from Houston. PM me with you plans and we might be able to break away for a bit. They want to see the grandkid anyway.
