| I have to be in Virginia Beach on March 11th for an all day travel trade show...what better way to spend my entire Saturday???....and will be in town from March 10th. Any of my VC bretheren interested in getting together for an informal offline? Juggs, Gary, Dr. T???

The Winehouse in Norfolk/Ghent has moved from a wine place to a food place. The young chef is really good, and the wine selections are decent. I'll start to look for corkable destinations. | |

I have to be in the Pembroke Mall in VA Beach on Saturday, so I'll try to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street from there. If there's better eats in Norfolk, or Portsmouth, where we ate the last time, that's okay with me....

I'll look around. There's a new Ruth's Chris right there (I mean *right* there) if all else fails. We are going to have a tough time finding a place that will allow corkage, but I'll work on it. I'll probably also try to involve some wino-but-not-VC friends. | |

| I'm more seriously considering The Winehouse in Ghent (Norfolk). The food is ridiculous, and I think they have some interesting selections on the list--once you get past the Silver Oaks and the Opuses (Opai?).
Corkage is going to be another story, though... | |

Recalling it. They're going through some spasms with their cellar, I think. They have their "normal" list and their "reserve" list. We ordered 7 bottles off the reserve list before we found one that they actually had in stock. | |
