I'm hosting January 28. In an effort to get some DC Cru folks who have not previously attended a Corkage dinner, I'm am holding some spots.

I'd like to limit the table size to 12 persons, however, depending on the interest I might either increase the table size or host another night, probably in mid to late February (and prepare the identical menu)

The menu will be my best for 2006 thus far, and as usual, I offer 100% money back guarantee on the food.

We are probably close to 10 people already, so let me know if you guys are interested.

I validated the date with Mrs. TJ so we are a definite go if there is still room.

Any ideas on the menu, Corkage? I think Mrs. TJ wants to dream of how good it will be.

Any theme for the wine or is it 'Just bring some really good $hit'?

Mr. & Mrs. Dave would like to attend if space is available. In fact, we wouldn't miss this for the world!

Yes we have a menu but its not quite final. If nobody else shows interest we'll get you and Mrs TJ in this date; if more people are interested, maybe we'll break out to another date, we'll just have to see where the headcount ends up.

I'll keep you posted.

In an effort to get invited anyway, I am willing to sit on the lap of someone who has not previously attended a Corkgage dinner

Darn. My problem is getting there from where I live (really getting back is the problem after enjoying all that great wine). I'd love to attend if I could however. Of course, if I could get to and from the METRO it would be a no brainer.

Ok here is where we are for January:

Corkage + Mrs
JohnnyB + Ms JB
AlexRed + Mrs
Dave + Mrs
Marty + Mrs
TJ + Mrs
Raybanz + Mrs
Fred (?) = 14/15

Capitolkat is not good for January
Haven't heard from TravelRep
DinW is still trying to figure out if the price of a bottle of juice and cab fare is worth dinner with you guys

If we stay at 14, I'm inclined to call it a party. I am still open to hosting in February as well if Capitolkat and others are up for it. I'll give it another day.

Sounds like fun - you guys have a great time. With my new work schedule, I need a hall pass to make these events on time. Enjoy the dinner - usually this is the hardest reservation in town.

I gotta commend you guyz, the DC-folks. You guys make it a point to get together just about monthly. And, many of you open your houses to the others. Very nice!

Corkage, you couldn't have lived closer to NJ/NY, could you?!?

Corkage rocks. The Dc Crü rocks. One of these days, my house will finally be up to snuff enough for me to host one of these things. Maybe after we re-do all of the nasty carpet with hardwoods this year. We shall see!

On an airplane recently I read an interesting article about underground supper clubs. These are un-licensed places that are open only a few day's a week and it's like going to someones house but you pay for a three course meal served family style and sit at a communal table. It's a really cool underground movement that folks out in the Seatle area are trying to get off the ground in other places. We'll call ours the Corkage Supper Club.

And with ray providing the entertainment, it should be a night to remember.
