| Ok, here we go...
Hotels:
Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson 2 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA Tel: 201 469 1234 Fax: 201 432 4991 This is right on top of the light rail.
Courtyard Jersey City Newport, Jersey City 540 Washington Boulevard Jersey City, NJ 07310
Doubletree Club Jersey City, Jersey City 455 Washington Boulevard Jersey City, NJ 07310 Candlewood Suites Jersey City, Jersey City 21 Second St Jersey City, NJ 07302 I can't really say much about the prices... but all have easy access to the light rail. I'd suggest, if no one can pick you up in Jersey City, they most definitely should be able to pick you up at the light rail station near my house. It's about one mile away. (I can too of course)
Then for the way back, someone should just drop you off at the light rail station again. Light Rail Website
You'd take say.. Exchange place, to the 34th street stop in Bayonne. Very simple. You pay for a ticket, validate it (with a machine near the ticket dispenser) and hop on the train. It's an honor system, and I definitely suggest getting the ticket. :-)
Any questions, let me know. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

Yea, Bayonne is attached to Staten Island on one end... and Jersey City on the other which is right outside the Holland tunnel... accessible by Train.... PATH to Exchange Place stop... then take the Light Rail to Bayonne... I'd drive from Brooklyn though.
the drive there isn't my concern!

| That's a great price!!!! That's the best hotel in Jersey City I'd expect...
I'm thinking of popping some good Spanish wine... Clos Mogador or Erasmus.. (or both probably) Not sure which year yet. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter....

| I thought about bringing a big Spanish as well (2000 Vall Llach) but I here it needs more time. I've never had the Clos Mogador or Erasmus before. Thanks again for everything.

| BTW on a different subject, is there any other way to get from my hotel in Jersey City to West Orange other than taking a cab (ex: train, bus etc.)? My 91yr old grandmother lives there and I was thinking of visiting her on Monday before I fly out out at 6pm. I also have to consider getting back to Newark Airport from West Orange if I do make the visit.

P.S. Is the Wine Library close to my hotel in Jersey City?

| WL is about 25-30 mins from JC. WL is about 10 mins from WO.
ItalianWino: Our town borders WO. I lived in WO for about 20 years. Now, we live in the town next to WO. My parents still live in WO. If you want we can try to arrange as to go together to Brad's house & such... Send me a PM.
But, cab is pretty much the only way to get from JC to WO. NJ is all about a car, public transportation is not that good.

| It's a pain but still possible. You can take the PATH from Jersey City to Hoboken then jump on a Morris & Essex train (the same train line I commute on) to Orange or South Orange. There are multiple stops near the Oranges that may work.
But, as I said, it's a pain and will take plenty of time. Cab will be expensive but quick.

| | Since the Hyatt is right on top of the light rail... he takes that into Hoboken terminal.. 5 minute jaunt. The train to West Orange is then the PITA. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Of these 3 wines which one would you like to try:
1. 1997 Newton "Le Puzzle" Cab 2. 1997 Von Strasser Diamond Mountain Cab 3. 2001 Pride Merlot
I would like to get the opinions of each person attending Brads SB party. Thanks.
