I may just have to make this trip after all. I will keep you posted. How far is Newark Airport from Bayonne, NJ?

Newark Airport is about 10 minutes away from Bayonne. It's a straight shot down an exit or two on Route 78.

I may be out. That is, if I can get a flight on the 5th to Milan for less than $1400. Damn Olympics!

Lol. Nice directions!

Yea, I'm 20 min from Newark.. not far at all...

From the end of my street, I'm actually looking at Newark over the Newark Bay.

Hope you can make it. :-)

I can land at Newark on SuperBowl Sunday at 4pm and leave Newark the next day at 6pm. What time are you going to start the party at your house on Sunday? I have enough miles on USAirways to get a free trip. Not a direct flight but the price is right. I am thinking I should definetely do this. Can you recommend an inexpensive place to stay that is really close to your house. It would be nice to finally meet some of the greater N. NJ forumites.

After his unsuccessful bid to enter the Summer Olympics:

The Pole Vault

(Make sure you have your speakers on to hear Joe's commentary...!)

He's going to Turin 2006 for skating:

That pole vault is awesome! Hehe!

I just booked my flight today. I'm going to Burgundy and Piedmont. I'm out for the Bowl.

Good for you Joe. Bon voyage. Wish I could go myself.

Have you had any bites on the room information? If not, I'd be happy to research a few places near the area. I do know there are a bunch of places at/near the airport which is very close to Bayonne (as pointed out).

Right in Jersey City are some brand new places as well, just two exits off the turnpike... 10 minute ride. I wouldn't recommend anything actually in Bayonne.

Can you post a couple of places in Jersey City (10min ride) that are inexpensive. BTW what time are you going to start the party on SuperBowl Sunday? Thanks.

Places coming soon.. Looking them up now! Great that you can make it! Further, you'll be able to take the light rail from some of the hotels to my place as well, so you wouldn't have to drive (though you still can if you like)

IW -

Depending on factors (timing, where you end up staying, etc), we may be able to give you a ride from the hotel to Brad's.

Ditto to what Short posted (if that does not work out for some reason). Let me know...

By the way, if Big Blue goes to the big game, I may actually have to keep an eye on the game instead of just the wine.
