I'm thinking about reserving a table for 10-12 on the third level of the restaurant. I'll buy a bottle or two off the list (killer Malbecs anyone?). If you guys bring your best, I may even bring a bottle of vintage Billecart Salmon bubbly.
Seriously guys, bring your best. Vintage B-S is a real treat.

| Did someone say vintage Billecart???
As usual, I can't commit to a weekday in advance, but I'll be trying to make this one (I sure was glad I shoe-horned Dino into my schedule, so that is incentive to try again).

| | I think that we've moved off of Spanish (although still welcome) to "bring something special for the holidays" as a motif. | | | |

| I haven't decided. If I bring a Spanish wine it will probably be the 1999 Mas Martinet Viticultors Priorat Clos Martinet.
However, I was also thinking that since we said just bring something good that I could bring one of the following:
2002 Radio-Coteau Zinfandel Von Weidlich 2002 Owen Sullivan Ulysses Sheridan (Washington State)
2000 Domaine de la Charbonnière Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes
1998 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde
1998 Domaine Santa Duc Gigondas Prestige des Hautes Garrigues
2002 Clarendon Hills Grenache 2000 Bodegas Caro Cabernet-Malbec (Argentina)
2000 Domaine Brusset Gigondas Tradition Le Grand Montmirail
2001 Mitolo Shiraz G.A.M.
The biggest problem I have is that I have to come from work and can't decant any of the wines beforehand.

| I think the CARO is already on the list - I personally would love to try the RC Zin (I finished all my 2002s already, and the 2003 is gorgeous now).
Johnny, don't have to bring a Spanish wine - just bring some of that plonk that you usually bring.

| Hello all... I have been lurking for quite some time and was interested if in fact you welcome newcomers to your face to face events? You appear to be a pretty easy going group with a wide range of wine and food interests..... and not stuffy in the least!
I am in No.Va and have been enjoying wine for a "few" years and drink a wide range of grape juice from all parts of the world. I have what I would describe as an average palate, but one that appreciates well made wine. So... would I embarass myself joining this group face to face???

| Welcome Cigarnv...
If you brought wine to an offline that would be more appropriately served from a brown paper bag, you might end up embarrassing yourself. Or when I posed the same type of question to this group about two years ago....I was told that whatever I brought to an offline would be happily drunk by the rest of the Cru and whatever they brought to the offline could happily be drunk by me. We're typically a very non-judgemental group who enjoys each others' cameraderie, wine knowledge and wines, as well as good food. What could be than that?
Hope you'll be able to join us on December 5th.

| cigarnv, I echo everyone's sentiments here when we welcome everyone into our circle without judgment and snobbery. We'd love to have you join us for our dinner in December.
Feel free to PM (private message) me if you have any questions about anything.
And since it is December after all, I think it would be great if others had great Champagne that they would like to bring as well - I think it would go splendidly well with the cuisine there and would make it a wonderful incentive for raybanz and Rita to join us.

| If you start a champagne budget, you must be willing to go over it whenever necessary. Otherwise the budget will wind up clouding your decision making.
And if y'all bring champagne, then I am bringing a cali pinot
