| Will being deprived of one's sense of sight enhance the dining experience? There's only one way to find out!
You've heard of "Dancing in the Dark".
This is Dining in the Dark.
The smells; the textures; the tastes: will they be heightened in a pitch black room? Will it enhance the dining experience? I think so. At least I would love to try it and find out.

What we need is a place to hold this dinner. I have a couple of ideas down here in the South Bay but I would like to do it in SF or Oakland so more people could attend.
I don't think we would have to have "blind" waiters. We would have to hire some waiters though. We can equip them with night-seeing goggles.
Not only do I think this would be a very unusual dining experience but think of the possibilities of getting to know the person sitting next to you  . | | | |

| I can remember as a kid doing this every year at Halloween. I ate eyeballs (which tasted remarkably like olives), intestines (which tasted like spaghetti), brains (which seemed remarkably like strawberry jello), and other assorted things.

| They only opened a few weeks ago. A month, at the very most.
The reason I "suggested" the place, is because their angle is serving dinner to you on a couch/bed like a Roman Emperor.
I know it isn't my kind of place!

It seems to me someplace opened about a year age that specialized in renting the whole place to a group. I think it may have been some kind of private club or something. | | | |

| Sounds surreal. The good news is that in a pitch black room it wouldn't matter what you wore or whether you spilled red wine down the front of it.
Long stemmed Riedels would be a BAD idea though. | |
