| Ok, time to start planning a new event. Anyone interested in a offline next month at a venue that we haven't gone too yet? I've got a couple of intruiging ideas, but first need a raise of hands to see who would be interested. | | |

| Interested, yes (especially after missing Dave's this month), but I will be out of town most of October. I may not make it, but at least I won't bail at the last minute like some people. "Cough...Cough...Fred...Cough...Cough." Excuse me, I had something in my throat | | | |

| Interested, but it depends on possible dates. We'll be kitchenless for most of October, so this might work out nicely.
Should we start with posting workable dates or known unavailable dates? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| I'm game. I will be in Salt Lake City the week of October 24-28, but other than that, I'm home (I hope.)
As much as I like the idea of having dinners at members homes, I find it difficult to make them. What I prefer is a restaurant that I can get to on the METRO since I much prefer to keep my driving at a minimum going home, it's bad enough making it from the METRO to home, I'd hate to try to make it from downtown.

| I'm game but only during the week. Just about every weekend is spoken for in October so far....How that happened I have no idea. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson | |

| I'm in, if possible. A lot of travel in the middle of the month. I'd also be up for any impromptu gatherings at a DC restaurant. | | | "We are the Hokies!" | |

| Mid-week seems like a good idea for me. I was thinking about restaurants like Sushi-Ko and Dino (new Italian place where Yanyu used to be), for starters. | | | |

| Dino would be great. I've been reading about it now for a bit and it's on my go to list to check out. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| I'd be interested, and a mid week is best for me too. I've been wanting to go to Dino. Dean Gold has been writing a lot on DonGullet.com and seems to be really into wine. He sells wine for $10 over retail from what he says on the boards and seems to have a very nice list. | | | |
