All of the above?

I hope to sift through my possibilities this weekend. I'm light on Cabs and could probably help better on whites, though not by much. I'll report back after the weekend.

Of the whites, I would love to try the Kongsgaard. I ordered this sight unseen this year. Of course, I think that reds is your true calling. Do you think that we should let Fred bring the Champagne? TJ, much of this dinner is riding on you and your selection. We need you to step up big time.

Here's what I am thinking for the older cabs. Instead of 2 '84's and 2 '85's, why not 4 '84's? I would propose:

1984 Burgess Vintage Select
1984 Diamond Creek Gravelly Meadow
1984 Joseph Phelps Backus
1984 Ridge Monte Bello

What do you think?

Dave, that lineup looks fantastic - very generous of you.

Johnny, if you bring Peter Michaels, I can also match with 2002s of Ma Belle Fille and La Carrieres. Probably the only time you'll see me bring a CA Chard to an offline.

Wow. Suddenly I am thinking that Peter Micheal is a much smarter move than Kongsgaard! I know that Alcina wasn't very popular on these boards, but if there is interest, I have a 2003 Alcina Sangiacomo pinot that we can open during the sorbet course. I really liked the last bottle.

No dude! What's your offering having slogged through the list of possibles? We'll have plenty of wine so you only need to pick one bottle. We're trying to give you ample manuvering room since Fred seems to have winners in all categories.

OK, I'll make everyone's mind -
Champers. You know that's what you should bring. Why are we even asking this question?

Dave I suppose you have a dilemma...you can either sit them next to each other so they can hold each others hand.... or across from each other so feet touch.

I'll select "taking it too far" for $100 Alex.

I'm bringing a Cab and maybe a bottle of Port.
