I've been remiss in keeping the forum updated with our local offlines just in case there happens to be travelling forum members in the area so I'll try to do better in the future.

The DAWGS will have their monthly offline for May 2005 at WineDrinkerofTexas' house this weekend, May 29th, starting at 4:30PM. If there are any travelling forum members or locals that I don't already know about that wish to attend let me know. We'd love to have you as our guest!

Attendees so far:

Mr & Mrs WineDrinkerofTexas
Mr & Mrs preferred
WIML and PURPLE
just a skosh
Mr & Mrs TexasZin
GregM

Absolutely. We've had many offlines with California winos in town to visit. Come one, come all!

Did you have to throw the work "actually" into that statement?

Seriously, we miss to two of you. Glad to hear the locals up there are taking good care of your offline needs.

Remember the time we did that Pinot tasting at Il Sole, and it rained like a foot and a half by the time we left? I think that was my first offline ever.

Yep, that was the "Pinot River Rising" offline. We're having another offline this weekend and guess what it's doing right now.

Well it was a little rainy early on yesterday but it eventually cleared and turned into a pleasant afternoon for our poolside offline at the WineDrinkerofTexas home. 12 people were in attendance including:

Mr & Mrs WDoT
Mr & Mrs preferred
Mr & Mrs TexasZin
WIML & PURPLE
Bella Donna & Bella Donna Sister
GregM

.and a big welcome to our newest member of the DAWGS

just a skosh

Food theme was potluck poolside munchies. All of the food was great. The wine theme was "Any white excluding Chardonnay, any red excluding Cabernet Sauvignon". Here are the wines:

2003 Chateau de la Pommeraie Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie Domaine de la Tour (W/H,NOWA,NOWS)
2000 Domaines Schlumberger Pinot Gris Alsace Les Princes Abbés (WIML88,NOWA,WS88)

2004 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough (WIML88,NOWA,WS91)
2002 Conundrum California (WIML89,NOWA,NOWS)
2003 Mayo Family Winery Viognier Russian River Valley Sunny View Vineyard Henry's Cuvee (WIML90,NOWA,NOWS)
1999 Schramsberg Crémant Demi-Sec Napa-Mendocino-Sonoma-Monterey Counties (WIML85,NOWA,WS82)
2002 McCrea Roussanne Red Mountain (WIML90,NOWA,NOWS)
2003 Chateau Ste. Michelle-Dr. Loosen Riesling Columbia Valley Eroica (WIML88,WA91,WS91)
2001 Torbreck The Steading Barossa Valley (WIML90,WA92,WS91)
2002 Robert Biale Sangiovese Nonna’s Vineyard (WIML89,NOWA,NOWS)
2002 Siduri Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills Cargasacchi Vineyard (WIML92,WA90,WS94)
2002 Corté Riva Merlot Napa Valley (WIML92,NOWA,WS91)
2003 Loring Pinot Noir Chalone Brosseau Vineyard (WIML90,NOWA,WS88)

And this last one I have no idea what it was because my notes are illegible…perhaps somebody can help me out:

2004 Soewiw Valley Zinfandel Lodi Morada Estate No Barrel Aging (WIML85,NOWA,NOWS)

Look forward to seeing everybody in June!

She lurks over here...just doesn't post. I'm thinking she prefers the playground over there.
