Well what can I say... I pwn'ed some newbs for the entire game until Mrs. Vinotyro decided she had enough and wanted to host the next game. She really played well when it was down to three people and once it was down to two, she was an absolute shark! Well played!!!

So off to vinotyro's house we go.... I missed the first game that was played there... so I'm very much looking forward to the next!!

At least I won the second game and convered my stakes for both, and it paid for the pizza!! :-)

Great time with everyone... great to see you all again.

Players:

Brad
Vinotryo
Mrs. Vinotyro
ojeffso
ShortTheWorld
LCC
Anand (from my work poker club)
JB (from West Virginia!)

I look forward to the next game. GGz everyone! (good games)

Thank you Revlis for hosting last night. Mrs. Vinotyro, a real card shark, made out pretty good last night. She came back @ the end of the game to take our money. I think she lead us all by our noses most of the game & then went on the attack & at the same time embarrassed Revlis pretty good (who @ one point built The Great Wall of China out of chips).

I did not note any of the wines. May be, Revlis can post the wines. But, I enjoyed all of the wines including the new producer from Spring Mountain. A fruity, chocolaty, Cali cab that is a good wine to be consumed in the short term. Not much behind the fruit & I don’t think it is worth $60 dollars. But, cut that price in ½ & you have a nice bottle of wine (I think).

The 2 Barolos stood out of the 9 bottles consumed last night. The other wines are not in the same league as the 2 Barolos.

P.S.: Thank You to the vinotyros for dessert. I liked it!

I guess the next game is @ the Vinotyro residence. Though, Mrs. Vinotyro threatened to be the one to pick out the wines.

My strategy worked - brought in my ringer so I could bring the game home!

(More seriously, I was pissed I had to go all in and lose to the wife!!)

The men were no match - all of us were duped by the calculating woman, who now threatens to pick the wines and make me cook when we host. (Be afraid, very afraid)

The wines were good - I didn't like the first one (a Pinot from lcc), loved one of the Italians, and even the Calicabs. (OK Brad, time to post the wines in the order we had them so I can comment).

Watch out for a new post on the next game dates .....
