| In deference to DavidZ's valiant attempt to get the DC Cru over to his house for Old Cali Cabs this weekend, which just fell apart...my suggesting that we get together with our Tidewater bretheren....and VerMagnussen's somewhat immediate need to offline before fatherhood hits him squarely in the forehead before June 22nd, maybe we'd like to get something going???? I'll be happy to coordinate.
Since VM's due date is June 22nd, that would leave the weekends of June03-05, 10-12, 24-26. June 17-19 won't work for Mrs. T and me as we'll have out of towners in for our annual Father's Day barbeque. Do any of these dates work for those interested parties?
Any particular theme? We could do DavidZ's Old Cali Cabs or something else that might be of interest. We could try to do dinner in a DC restaurant...the sky's the limit. What do you all think? Any Tidewater Cru folks available any of those weekends? Any of our Richmondites interested?

| | T-Rep, great idea. I am open to any date apart from 06/05 (Mrs. David Z's birthday). I like the idea of a DC restaurant and I would be happy to open up the David Z house again if it turns out that McLean Virginia is a happy compromise spot for the Tidewater/Richmond folks. Notwithstanding the fact that I have a surfeit of California Cabs that are ready to drink, I am open to any format. | | | |

| | We'll be in Baltimore the weekend of 3-5 June. We might be able to swing by something then. Otherwise, we're out due to travel and stuff the rest of the month. | | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| So critical mass it is....June 4, 2005!
Those who are in so far... T-Rep and Mrs. T-Rep David Z/Mrs. David Z? Fred Gary and Kathy Juggernt and the Rocket Scientist...I think VerMagnussen/Mrs. VM? LRHF79/Mrs. LRHF79? Purple Haze
Probable Dinwiddie/Mrs. Dinwiddie?
What about Dr. T, JohnnyB, Corkage, Doc, Jaimetown, RawReds, maybe Brad aka Revlis, Raybanz, CapitolKat, TJ...anyone else that I'm missing??
Now for a theme, restaurant, etc. June 4th is a Saturday, so we might have a problem doing a large group. Taberna del Alabardero has a private room, Equinox has the atrium...any other thoughts?

| Sorry guys, I'm out for this event. It is the weekend of the big Spanish barrel tasting for us.
In fact, you can rule out Taberna that weekend too - the whole restaurant has been reserved for Saturday night.

No chance you'll be at Taberna that night at a barrel tasting?
I'll put some thought into this restaurant wise. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson

| It's possible for me, though I'd have to arrange for hotel etc and only Saturday would work.
My wife has an art show two weeks after so I'll be solo.

I'm hopeful that Mrs. VM is in as she is prego and my designated driver... anyone need a ride...
I'm also hopeful that longtime DC Cru members Fred and TJ are available since I've been to a number of these OLs but have failed to sync up with you two guys. | | | "We are the Hokies!"

Well, the barrel tasting itself will be Friday night, but the big winemaker's dinner is on Saturday night at Taberna. I'll be helping out Friday night, but not sure if I get to participate in the Saturday night dinner (at $200 a head).
