| After I met with the Tidewater Cru earlier in April, we talked about doing an offline that will combine the DC Cru and the Tidewater Cru...Dr. T/Gary/Juggernt...sometime this summer in DC on a weekend. Maybe we could do something to combine the two events....also get any VC'ers in Richmond or the rest of the Commonwealth to partake....just a thought....

Seriously cru, my wife and I have our second baby coming June 22 at 7:30 a.m. via scheduled c-section . I need another offline before then.....big time.....
Let's mix things up and have a morning offline. Say, June 22nd around 5:00 am?

Perfect, that's usually when I pop my first bottle of Champers for the day! | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson

| Sorry to hear we're delaying the event to a future date, David Z. Smaller is not worse, just different than a bigger thing.
But I'm up for something in June then... Who's organizing? VerMag needs our help!! | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| Tj, I am still game if a smaller group wants to get together on Sunday. What else would I do with all that cheese sitting in my refrigerator. Post or PM me if you are still interested (whether or not you responded to the original invite!).
What I don't think will work with a small group is to pull out a bunch of old cabs as we will be swamped with wine. It might be fun to try some recent vintages since we probably all need to figure out what to buy next year. If we go forward, I'll put up a 2001 Anomaly to try against Alex's 2001 Bressler and one old cab for balance. Just let me know.

| well, my flight is still bringing me back at 1pm on sunday so i will either head to David Z's if that's still on or pop something at home since julie won't be coming back until monday morning...
i like the idea of a combined tidewater/dc cru offline. sounds like a barn burner.
although I have my anniversary June 12th (my 1st ) and a wedding in NH the next weekend so hopefully a June offline will be the first weekend or the last...

| | Well, when you posted that message, David_Z, I assumed things were off and now it looks like I might already be busy. Eeek! Let me check and see. It might already be too late. | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| | Tj, not to worry. It looked like things were pretty much falling apart anyway. I just wanted to let you know that I wasn't adverse to small groups. If the gang of 5 can meet, then let's do it. If it's going to be less than that, let's move on to the next event (Tidewater/DC!). | | | |

| Let's leave the postponement as is then, DavidZ. Kewl? We can do your older cab thingie at your place at some point I am sure. It's very generous of you to open your home to this Motley DC Crü anyway, y'know?
Looking forward to the new thing started in the other thread now!
But smaller offlines are always kewl too. You actually get to talk to everyone at the table instead of only a few people.
And for you newbies, hey, keep hanging out here and post/read/post/post. Looking forward to meeting y'all eventually at one of these things. | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

Agree that it was very generous of David Z to invite us to his home, especially unknown commodities like me! Frankly, one of the reasons that I held off on chiming in regarding offlines here was that it seemed that many were done in residences. I was reluctant to just invite myself over!!

| Most have actually been done at restaurants. Just some more recent activity on the 'in the home' front.
