| UPDATE
The date of may 21st most likely will be changed. I hope no one has made any reservations yet (doubtful you could) . May 21st is Skidmore college graduation weekend and the hotels in town are swamped. I am going to make a few more calls, but we may be looking at the first weekend in June. Please if everyone could post their attendance possibilities for the weekend of June 4th.

| I'm out. That Saturday (the 3rd?) is the date of Jill's niece's wedding, so we will be in Indiana then. Sorry I can't make it. This time.

| Sorry for the delay everyone, but I have finally planned the day for the Saratoga Springs offline.
Saturday June 4th will be the evening for the offline. Weekends were limited with so many events going on here in town. We will again be dining at the Springwater Bistro for the main event Saturday evening. Chef David Britton is excited and looking forward to outdoing his last efforts in June and February.
As far as lodging goes there is always the B&B next door to the restaurant theBrunswick . If staying at the Brunswick ask for Kirk and mention the Springwater wine dinner. He has reduced rates for us particularly if you are staying two nights. Here also is a link tolodging in Saratoga that is helpful.
The plan will also be to get together on Friday evening for those coming up the day before. For those interested I would like to play 18 holes of golf on Saturday before the dinner as well.

| Already reserved the room, so I guess we are IN.
I don't think Jazins can make it in June, Seek (scroll up).

| | Jimmy, it's still on as far as I know. But, I am also wondering the status of this & some final counts, decisions so that we can start making final plans as well. We will be away the weekend prior to this event, so only 2-3 weeks remain. And, I have 2 people wanting to join that are also wondering the status. Seek? | | | |

| OK. I'm still in. I just didn't want to get into a situation where we are all cancelling our rooms at the last minute, leaving Seek's connections at the Inn and Restaurant high and dry.
As for a theme, let me throw one out. There have been a lot of "new" wines popping up on this board over the past year, and not everyone has had the ability (or funds) to try all of them. I am thinking about things like Realm, Kobalt, Anomaly, Harris, Match, Bressler, Neal Single Vineyards, Kelly Martin, Drinkward Peschon and the like on the Cab side, and things like Favia, Kosta Browne, Radio-Coteau, Freeman, AP Vin, River-Marie, Peay, WesMar and the like on the Pinot side. Maybe we could try to put together a "New Kids On The Block" tasting where we pick some of these much-discussed, but not often consumed wines and see how they are. Or we could pair some of these newer wines against some more "established" wineries to see how they stack up.
Just an idea. You know me. I'll do anything. And very often, the less structured the better. | | Beta testing a new signature.

| Yes the dinner is still on and things are moving forward. the attendee list for the Saturday night dinner is as follows
Seek (2) Cabhead (2) STW (2) MTpockets (2) ojeffso (2) LCC (2) JimmyV (1) Brad Molzen (1) lake_george_rumrunner (2) 2 more possible
We are at 16 confirmed with a possible 18. I have found that 2 bottles per wine is best for this amount of people. I always prefer to do the best possible quality that people are willing to bring. If the list stays at 16 we will have 9 different couples/singles attending, as in the past each couple/single brings 2 bottles of the same wine. I was thinking of doing 3 flights of 3 wines. The first 2 flights can be some wines of similar character, expected quality, and varietal with the last flight of 3 wines being something different. My idea so far has been to do 2 flights of Bordeaux varietals/blends of outstanding quality. These wines can have age on them or be young, but should be of exceptional quality as I always assure that generosity is matched fairly well.
The last flight I would like to see something different than the first 2. I was thinking of high end California Syrah, Northern Rhones (Hermitage, Cote-Rotie) or even Priorats.
If everyone could send me a list of wines that fit these descriptions that you would be willing to bring two bottles of and pm them to me I will begin to match things up and see what we have.
JimmyV, I like your idea and think that would work great for Friday night if everyone would like
