| Pago de los Capellanes El Picón 1998 14,5% Tinto Fino This got all the imaginable accolades from the Spanish press at 60-70E. The 99 is said to be even better. Guess what? The 99 is 100E+ on release according to first reports. Damit, the 98 is good indeed, but we didn't decant it long enough. A tad overextracted (not for the fruit that's there, just slightly oversized) and too modern, perhaps, but very harmonious IMHO (do I remember Marc giving this a whipping as too international?). I believe another 45' in the decanter would have tamed this into a lovely monster. As it was it showed more promise than pleasure, but it was very good indeed. 91+
