| Made by Sara Perez in Priorat. Purchased for $37 at a sale (usually around $50).
The wine exhibited fresh blueberries with anise on the nose, cloaked in a healthy dose of new oak. On the palate the wine was quite high-toned with vibrant acidity, clean and ample fruit with hints of licorice, and loaded with lots and lots of tannins. With a little decanting, the wine settled down a bit, but the tannins were still making their presence felt. I am a little worried about the tannins, but will not try my second and last bottle until 3-4 years from now. 88-90pts.

| I also paid about $37.00, like jaimetown. But, our similarities end there. It's like I tasted a different bottle.
I thought this was a very, very good bottle of wine: well balanced, full body, wonderful aroma, some complexity, & very very enjoyable, & a long clean tasty finish. I really enjoyed this wine.
In a blind taste, I would say this was a $55.00-$60.00 bottle of wine. As a matter of fact, my wife (who does not know the price) asked if I paid about $50.00-$55.00 for this. I said, that I paid $37.00. She said that it is an excellent bottle for the price, & an excellent bottle, period. I thought so also.
Decant 20-30minutes & enjoy now. Parker 93points. Not going to argue with that rating.
3 more bottles in the cellar & I am happy about that fact.

| | The only bottle I've tried so far was more like jaimetown's experience. Thought it needed more time... maybe I'll try another one soon. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| | I purchased 3 bottles of this wine for about $38/e as I recall and had one of them last summer. I took no notes but if I did it would have all been positve - I loved it. It drank very well - but had signifcant tannins and the stuffing to hold for many more years. | | | |

| $37.00, Retail.
Excellent bottle of wine! A bargain for the price!
Tasted artificial fruit & jammy (strawberry?), chocolaty, with a note of sweetness & some tannins (as well as some sediment). Not so complex but has good depth & good balance of fruit & tannins. Vey fruity & tasty aroma.
A nice, full-bodied wine with richness & feeling in the back of the palate with very tasty long finish...
There is no rush with this wine, but drinkin' now (with 30-40mins decanting) is not @ all a crime.
Lovely bottle of wine!
Rating: same as above, same as Mr. Parker: 93 points, drink (decant) or hold (no rush). Bravo!

| ...a year later, ditto! A great bottle of wine for what I paid @ the time. Problem is as follows: since that time, Priorats went up in price significantly.
Anyway, this is a wonderful bottle of wine that is singing @ the moment. Decanted 30 mins & away we go...

| | I brought a bottle of the '99 Clos Martinet with me to a dinner with a group from "that other board" (WS) in December. It was decanted for about two hours before we drank it. Huge nose, lots of dark fruits, with a touch of licorice and black pepper. As you took a sit the flavors just keep growing. Went perfectly with the wonderful lamb shanks that we had for dinner. Still room for improvement, but boy oh boy, it is really enjoyable now. I hope I can keep my hands off the rest for a while. | | | |
