Opened and served immediately. Dark purple color in the glass, slightly opaque. Tight nose of fertilizer, a touch of barnyard. some wet stones and white pepper. Flavors of black cherries and some berry notes. Bright acidity, firm tannins and full body. I'd decant or hold hoping this wine is closed; hopefully it's not past maturity. No rating as a result.
