Another good wine under $20 with decent availability - WineSearcher shows this at both east and west coast retailers.  This is not the wine if you are looking for a plush, fat, fruit-forward wine.  It was aromatic with acidity and more like a good Sangiovese in texture.  I would buy more of this wine.

Dark, clear ruby in color. Floral and red fruit aromas with floral (lavender), raspberry and mineral flavors. Clipped on the finish and not overly complex but balanced. The varietal is Mencia. It presented like a young Rhone wine. A good buy under $20. (88 pts.)

Thanks for the TN - good to hear that the 2006 is tasty. I've enjoyed previous vintages and your comparison to Rhone is very apt I think.
