| Mauro Vendimia Seleccionada 1997 14% $47
After so many positive experiences with Mauro it was inexcusable to forgive this bottle. WS92, RP92, Gastro 92+. My divergence comes in terms of price. Officially listed at $45-50 I got it in Granada for $14 surely due to some mistake...some HAPPY mistake. The bottle is impressive from shape to label, the wine is...just glorious. Let's just say I thought it still needed some bottle... Impressive concentration and ripeness, with such a full midpalate for a Ribera'97, glorious complex aromatics, and excellent long finish. Overall, it's certainly my ceiling for the 97 vintage in Ribera, and proof that the fruit declassified from Terreus was put to good use. 92+
