2003 Bodegas Alejandro Fernandez Ribera del Duero Tinto Pesquera - Spain, Castilla y León, Ribera del Duero (6/17/2006)
WIML87,PURPLE88,NOWA,WS90

Tasted June 17, 2006 at a retail tasting. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet Sauvignon glass. Pretty garnet color in the glass, clear throughout. Nose of shoe leather, mushrooms and potpourri. Flavors of red berries and bitters, somewhat “flat” on the palate. Drying tannins. Short finish. Drink over the short term. Perhaps decanting might help. Based on the local retail price of $25.49 I’d say the value here is barely acceptable if that. (87 pts.)
