Tasted June 17, 2006 at a retail tasting. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet Sauvignon glass. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of blackberries, plum and a little smoke. Flavors of black cherries, blackberries and a little raspberry. Lively to tart acidity with integrated tannins. Drink over the short term. Based on the local retail price of $8.49 I’d say the value is acceptable. (85 pts.) | |
