| 100% Mencia. Medium ruby colour. Aromas of candied fruit and vanilla. Medium-full bodied, shows dark fruit, berry fruit, and herbs. Moderate finish, 35-40s, with plums, currant. 89 points (02/21/2006). | | |

| | Had a bottle of this with burgers at home - I would mirror futronic's notes, but also add that it showed a lot of brett upon opening and it was a bit reductive, but with air it smoothed out nicely and opened up to be a very tasty bottle of wine. | | | |

| Opened another bottle of this recently - it should be decanted for an hour when opened as it still showed some reductive qualities. Dark fruits, sous bois, saddle leather, iron and other minerals. Medium bodied with elegant texture - a very nice QPR for $16. A good crossover wine for Southern Rhone enthusiasts.

| | Glad to be of help - my decanter is wide-bottomed, so you may need to decant longer if you have a standard shape. Also the undecanted 1/2 bottle showed very nicely the 2nd day as well. | | | |
